Jaime Dickson

Dickson is the author of Some Sweet Vandal and teaches English and Creative Writing at Germantown High School in Madison. An MFA graduate from the Bennington Writing Seminars, he is the recipient of Mississippi Arts Commission fellowships and was named High School Literary Magazine Advisor of the Year by the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association.

Nadia Alexis

Nadia Alexis is a poet and photographer born in Harlem to Haitian immigrants. She is the author of Beyond the Watershed, a collection of poetry and photography published by CavanKerry Press in March 2025. She holds a PhD in English and Creative Writing from the University of Mississippi and serves as Literary Arts Instructor at the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven, MS.

Shalanda Stanley

Shalanda Stanley is the author of the novels Drowning Is Inevitable and Nick and June Were Here. She holds a PhD from Louisiana State University in curriculum and instruction with a focus in reading and literacy education. She teaches at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Richard Boada

Richard Boada is the author of several poetry collections, including We Find Each Other in Darkness. He is a graduate of the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi. Boada teaches at Lane College in Jackson, TN, and for the West Virginia Wesleyan College Low Residency MFA program.

Catherine Gray

Catherine Gray is the writer and creator of Unsilenced Woman, a blog exploring modern motherhood, sexuality, and healing after trauma. Her essays have been acclaimed by The Bitter Southerner and her first book is upcoming in 2025. She lives in Jackson, Mississippi.

Amelia Plair

Amelia Plair is a Starkville high school English teacher and frequent column writer at The Dispatch.

Liz Egan, McMullan Workshops Director

Liz is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Millsaps College, and Director of the McMullan Writing Workshops since the first workshop launched in 2015.
