Featuring Keynote Speaker Jack Davis
Jack Davis
We are excited to welcome environmental science writer Jack Davis to serve as the Keynote Speaker for our tenth anniversary workshop!
Jack Davis is the author of the Pulitzer-winning book The Gulf, which was hailed by the New York Times Book Review as as a “beautiful homage to a neglected sea.” Davis also received an Andrew Carnegie Fellowship, awarded to support the writing of his book The Bald Eagle: The Improbable Journey of America’s Bird.
Davis is the author or editor of ten books, including the award-winning An Everglades Providence: Marjory Stoneman Douglas and the American Environmental Century. Davis has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Tampa Bay Times, Orion, Saturday Evening Post, Sierra, Audubon, and Smithsonian. Currently, he is writing a new book on the larger American seacoast.
Join us as we celebrate a “Decade of Daring” in the McMullan Writers Workshops for what promises to be an inspiring keynote address on the power of narrative storytelling in environmental science writing!
